How to play baccarat
Players start by making a wager on the banker, player or tie. The tie bet may be combined with either the player or banker. A player hand and banker hand receive two cards.
Aces are worth one point. Face cards are worth zero points. All number cards are worth face value. A baccarat hand cannot be higher than nine. If the count goes above nine, it resets to zero. For example, a 9 and a 9 make a total of 8 in baccarat.
If the player or banker receive an 8 or 9, it is a natural winner. The hand is over. If the player has 5 or lower points, the player draws. It stands on a 6 or 7.
If the player has a 6 or 7, the banker hand hits, except on 7. If the player has a five or lower, the banker draws with 0, 1 or 2 and stands on 7. The banker has a set of drawing rules to follow in other situations that may depend on what was drawn:
- Draw on 3 if player drew 8
